FOWM #226 Nurses Training School In Africa

FOWM #226 Nurses Training School In Africa

There are two nursing schools in Karawa, DR Congo run by the CEUM with over 160 students. The students tell how they dream of finishing school and being able to help the sick in their community. However, they also share their challenges to finishing school. Students express concern that they have a hard time studying at home because they do not have books, and it is difficult to read their class notes when their homes have no electricity. The professors at the school hope that they might have a library where students will have access to learning materials and power in order to enable learning to continue even when the skies are dark.

FOWM project #226 seeks to raise $50,000 to help our Congolese brothers and sisters build a library for nursing students in Karawa. As one student told us, “Books are in a library and Bibles are in a library. We will be able to study them both and teach others what we have learned.” Thank you in advance for your generous gift that will enable the CEUM to educate their future medical professionals by providing them with a book-filled, resource packed library to learn in.
